Team India’s Squad announced against England & Champions Trophy

The England team has reached India to play 5 T20Is and 3 ODI matches against the Indian cricket team. The T20 series will start from July 22 while the ODI series will start from February 6. Both teams have announced their team for each format. Just 2 days ago, the BCCI announced India's ODI team against England.

The biggest news for Indian fans is the return of Mohammed Shami. Fans have been waiting for Shami's return for a long time. Shami played his last international match in the ODI World Cup 2023 But Jasprit Bumrah will not be a part of the team against England. Bumrah has some problems in his back and is under the observation of the NCA. According to reports, Bumrah may be fit before the Champions Trophy. Harshit Rana will play against England in place of Bumrah.

The surprising news is that Siraj has not gotten a place on the team. He is not even part of the ICC Champions Trophy squad. Left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has been added to the team. Yashasvi Jaiswal has also got a chance in the ODI team while Shubman Gill is now the vice-captain of the Indian cricket team. This team has 4 all-rounders, 5 batsmen, 4 bowlers and 2 wicketkeepers. KL Rahul is the first-choice wicketkeeper-batsman while Rishabh Pant is the backup wicketkeeper. Team India never lost an ODI home Series against England since 1984/85.

If we talk about the Indian T20I squad, the team is almost the same as the one who went to South Africa earlier. Mohammed Shami, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana, Washington Sundar and Dhruv Jurel are the players who will play against England. At the same time, Ramandeep Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Vijaykumar Vyashk, Yash Dayal & Avesh Khan are not considered for the upcoming T20I series. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the team. India never lost a T20I series since Suryakumar Yadav became the full-time captain of the T20I team. In his Captaincy, India firstly won 3-0 against Sri Lanka, 3-0 against Bangladesh and finally 4-1 against SA. He also wants to continue his winning streak.
